Via ferrata (Italian for "railway") is a way of moving along walls and various more or less vertical obstacles, using equipment similar to that used in rock climbing. The difference with climbing is that the walls are equipped with rungs, bridges and ladders, and a lifeline is laid along the entire length of the wall for self-insurance. Originating in Austria in the 19th century, it was in Italy that it gained its nobility during the 1st World War. Today, as a vector of sports tourism, it is a great complement to climbing, offering the same thrill of heights and breathtaking views, but without the same degree of technical commitment.

In the areas around Gap, we can offer you a variety of itineraries to suit all types of adventurer. In the Buëch/Dévoluy sector, the via ferrata of the Gorges d'Agnielles and the via des Étroits each offer a choice of 2 routes. The first part is not very difficult, so you can start and discover the activity without any great physical or technical challenge. These first routes are complemented by a second, higher, more technical and impressive route that will delight the most athletic climbers. Whether you're overlooking the Vire d'Agnielles or the bed of the Souloise, prepare yourself for a spectacular setting and a breathtaking atmosphere.

In the heart of the Champsaur valley, a stone's throw from the resort of Orcières, the Rocher d'Arthouze via ferrata offers 4 different routes. With difficulty levels ranging from green to black and interconnecting routes, you'll be able to adapt or extend your outing to suit your mood. The result is an incomparable view of the Drac below and a light that is unique in the area. This route is best suited to groups and families with young children as it offers a wider range of options.

We will provide you with all the necessary safety equipment (harness, lanyards, helmet) and our qualified guides will be on hand to help you progress smoothly, adapting the difficulty to your level so that enjoyment remains the central element of your outing.
