Canyoning is a way of moving through watercourses, often gorges or ravines, often found in the mountains. Jumps, slides and abseils of varying heights will be your obstacles of the day, with pools in between. Each canyon is unique, so the level of difficulty and commitment will be specific to each trip and/or itinerary. These can be adapted to suit the age and level of the participants, so that the fun remains at the heart of the activity.

More than a sport, it's above all a way of discovering an environment that is often inaccessible, exceptional and of wild natural beauty. Discover the long struggle between water and rock over time, confront yourself or relax and enjoy a refreshing and unforgettable experience.

The Gorges du Chaudan is a hidden treasure in the upper Var Valley, a stone's throw from the Mercantour National Park. Watery, fun and varied, it offers a course that builds to a crescendo. With slides of up to 10m and a final waterfall of 30m (divided into 2 rappels), adrenaline will be part of the adventure. The finale may be more impressive and there is no escape, so it will require a higher level of commitment than some of the other canyons in the region. If you are looking for a pure experience away from the crowds, then this is the canyon for you.

We provide all the thermal and safety equipment you'll need and our qualified guide will be on hand to help you, whether you want to push yourself to the limit or just share a sporty moment with family and friends.

The meeting point is the car park of the town hall of Uvernet Fours, where you will be met by the guide who will show you the way to the start of the canyon (about 25 km by car).

Special conditions: The walk to and from the canyon takes about 30 and 20 minutes respectively, have to be taken into consideration your physical condition. Despite the canyon being classed as easy and fun, there are some areas that may be challenging for those with a fear of heights. If you have a severe fear of heights, we can suggest other activity areas to make you feel more comfortable.

As canyoning is a weather-sensitive activity (thunderstorms, heavy rain), the activity may be postponed or cancelled if conditions make this necessary for obvious safety reasons.
